we are proud

Streatley Hill Pre-school is a charity.  It was started in 1992 by a group of dedicated parents who wanted to provide local early years education to pre-school children in Streatley.   It first operated from Warren Farm, Streatley but was transferred to its current location on the grounds of Streatley Primary School in the mid-1990s when a second-hand Portakabin was sourced.

Since its inception, Streatley Hill Pre-school has gone from strength to strength.  It has an excellent local reputation as providing a safe and nurturing educational experience for the children by its dedicated staff.  We are immensely popular.

The pre-school’s aim is to provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment where children gain the confidence to learn via investigation and exploration, whilst having fun. The vast majority of children who come to Streatley Pre-school then feed into Streatley Primary School.

The pre-school is managed and run by a fully qualified team of staff, who are supported by a volunteer committee of parents, some of whom are also directors of the Company. Our recent OFSTED inspection in March 2015 rated us “Outstanding” in every category.
